Pixelfield

Pixelfield is a simple game. Collect blue crosses with your red "dude" (for lack of a better term). You control your red pixels by clicking where you want it to go. Your red central pixel has three other pixels attached to it by rubber bands. This means the other red pixels encircling you bounce around as you move. But be careful! If you hit a green pixel (a mine!) you lose a life. You get points for hitting blue crosses and lose a single point every time you click. Doesn't sound so simple now, does it? Well get your hands dirty and play some Pixelfield!

Shift 3

Shift is back for round three. The same concept remains. Control your character with the arrow keys. Jump with the Space bar. If you press shift, everything turns upside down. The ceiling becomes the floor and floor becomes the ceiling. To complete a level, get to the ending door and go through it by pressing the up arrow. An addition to this release is a handy-dandy PDA. This gives you a map of the rooms you have progressed through. Other new features include floating arrows that flip the entire level upside down, much like pressing shift. Enjoy!

Cursor x 10

This unique game pushes your planning skills to the maximum. The front pages of the game states (or asks?) a revealing rhetorical question. "Cooperate by oneself?!". The point of the game is to click on a series of staircases to eventually reach the 16th floor. Here's the catch, you have a short period of time in the tower before you get teleported back to the first floor as a new cursor. What do I mean by that? Well, what you do the first time with your mouse is recorded and repeated over and over as you re-climb the 16 floors with a new cursor. It's kind of confusing at first, but once you understand the simple yet creative reasoning behind this game, it takes on a whole new fun-factor.

Through the Machine

Here's a simple game! Check out Through the Machine. It is a tasteful blend of precise graphics, simple and intuitive game play, and amazing sound effects. The point of the game is to guide a fly through a series of contraptions. The obstacles swing, smash, and spin to the rhythm of a jammin' industrial song going on in the background music. You control the fly by moving the mouse around. If you do run into a whirring gadget, then you lose one of your 9 original lives. I simply enjoy seeing the obstacles interact flawlessly with the synchronization of the music. Enjoy!

Epsilon

Epsilon reminds me a lot of the game Portal: The Flash Version. Like Portal, you control two cosmic gates that are mysteriously connected. In Epsilon however, you do not control a person, rather you control the portals around the outside of the playing field. The main goal of the game is to collect several shiny orbs with a silver ball by manipulating the path of the ball with said portals. Here’s a quick tip: read the instructions in the in-game tutorial! It clearly explains the way to play this advanced game.

Bluep is multitasking to the extreme: dodge bullets, jump sweeping lasers, grab power-ups, shoot back, don't die. All in a nice tranquil blue environment. To some, an easy task; to others, induced insanity. Run around the screen as a rebellious blue circle and take out the light-blue enemy circles before they shoot you down. While fighting for dear life, make sure to throw yourself over the ground laser zooming under your feet. Meanwhile, try to aim.

6 Differences

Get ready to test your observational skills, because the sequel to 5 Differences has just arrived. Aptly named 6 Differences, this chill game combines surreal art with the calming music by Nine Inch Nails. The background music is 13 Ghosts II from NIN's recent album Ghosts I-IV. Just like 5 Differences, you must spot the discrepancies between two cool pictures. Once you see one, click on it. For the weak of heart or those too lazy to find all six differences, you can press the H key to reveal one difference per level. Enjoy!

Detonate

Bring out the Mountain Dew! Whip out those 250 milliliters of Red Bull! You're going to need a boost in reaction time. Detonate requires expert recognition time and lightning fast reflexes. The whole game is about detonating bombs. A little helicopter smiley thing floats along the top of the screen and hurls black and red bombs downward. To detonate black bombs, click 'n drag them into another black bomb. Instantly on contact, the two bombs rupture into a nice little explosion. To annihilate red bombs, you simply click on them. As you blow up more and more bombs, bombs are spawned in increasing rapidity. You think it sounds simple? Think twice and meet your new match! If you miss exploding any bomb and it hits the bottom of the screen, you lose sir! Before long, you'll find yourself frantically twitching the mouse to keep up with the precipitation of exploding objects.
