TANKS
Well, well, well. Today we bring you a flash version of a game very close to my heart. This game, called Scorched Earth, is where you control a little tank (thus the name of the flash version) and fire various projectiles at one or more enemies. Now, these enemies can be either computer players, or another person sitting right next to you at the computer. All you have to do is choose your weapon, adjust your angle and power of your tank gun, and fire. Not too bad eh? Enjoy!
Defend Atlantis
SCUBA = Some Curious Umans Bombarding Atlantis. Wow, that pretty much sums up this game, but I'll tell you more. You have been summoned to protect the hidden city Atlantis, that 'tis actually not at lan' but underwater. The city is in danger of being discovered by SCUBA divers and hit by barrels of toxic waste! To save these blue people, you must use their bubble ray to send these curious and harmful foes back to the surface. Take caution not to run out of air, or else you might start the downfall of an entire race!
Gyroball
Slide across colored platforms as a slick silver orb and reach the bright light at the end! Hmm... any relation to the light at the end of the tunnel? Whatever. Anyway, you must slip down slopes and ride along runways to meet this end. Simply use the arrow keys to maneuver while you rock to the sweet beat. See how fast you can move without smashing into the platforms' edges or running out of time!
Imminent 2 Resilience
"Imminent" and "resilience." These epic words symbolize a epic game. You, the player, control a bunker in the middle of the playing field which rapidly fires bullets at oncoming enemies with the click of the mouse. At the end of each wave of enemies, you can pop on some more weapons to your turret or fortify it for money you earn during each wave. Along with smooth game-play, the music to Imminent 2 Resilience can easily give this game a 5/5 gold stars. Sweet!
Sprout
A brilliant logic game, or a trial and error game if you don't have much logic in your noggin. Travel from an island to a forest as a bean, shape-shifting from cocoanuts to sugar snap pea pods and much more. Remain aware of your surroundings and the physics of each plant into which you can grow. Reach your goal and BECOME AN ACORN!
Phit
Today, we bring you a solid little game called Phit. It happens to be a cute mash up of Blokus and Tetris. The goal of the game is to "phit" all of the colored pieces into a designated area. Each level gets progressively harder with either more pieces to "phit" together or with more complex pieces. Have fun and make sure to give your brain a break every so often or your head will explode.
Detective Grimoire
Here's a keeper: the Super Flash Bros. just came out with this little all-in-wonder. Detective Grimoire is a point-and-click game of investigating a murder. Use your mouse to collect clues, make observations, talk to suspects, and even do a lie detector test! To win, as the police officer in the beginning of the game explains, find the murderer by proving the rest of the suspects innocent. "Elementary, my dear Watson."
BlockDude
If your high school ever required you to purchase a TI-83 or better, then you might have played this game before. BlockDude is a remake of...well, BlockDude... only this version is colored and on a computer. Move simply with the arrow keys, picking up blocks and setting them back down in the specific pattern that will allow you to reach the door at the end of the level. Restart, if necessary, and try to best this calculator game!
Skill Stack
Here comes a simple flash game called Skill Stack. Brought to us by Crazy Monkey Games, Skill Stack is the epitome of simplicity. All you need is a keyboard with a space bar and a little skill. Once the game is started, all you have to do is wait for the moving row of red blocks to be over the previous layer of blue blocks. Right at that point press the space bar to stick the moving blocks in place. If you press the space bar too early or too late, then the row of moving blocks will be diminished. Enjoy!
Triangles
Triangles is a simple game of dodging enemies with a slight twist. This twist is having to play as two balls dodging two different swarms of triangles on two different screens. Two heads would provide a great advantage in playing this game. Control one half of the game with your keyboard (WASD keys) and the other half with your mouse. I suggest focusing on the "keyboard side" with your eyes and watch the "mouse side" out of your peripheral vision, but try it out and see what works best for you!
